Welcome! We're building a friendly and inclusive place to learn everything you need to know about caring for your first reptile — whether you're 8 or 80, and whether you already have a scaly friend at home or are still deciding which one to bring home.

Getting a reptile for the first time can feel like a lot. There's so much to figure out — what to feed them, how to set up their home, how to keep them happy and healthy. The Academy is here to make all of that simple, approachable, and even fun, with support from experienced and knowledgeable tutors who can answer questions and help problem solve along the way.

Our classes will focus on the reptiles most people start with — friendly, well-loved species like bearded dragons, leopard geckos, Russian tortoises, and ball pythons. Each class will walk you through the basics in plain, easy-to-follow language: setting up a home, feeding, handling, health, and everything else a new keeper needs to know. No experience required — just curiosity and a love of reptiles.
